Message from the President of the Board.

On behalf of the Harbor View Historical Society, Inc., I would like to personally thank you for your interest in our program and Museum. Since our early beginnings on the Willis B. Boyer Museum Ship in Toledo, Ohio, The U.S. Navy personnel and the Boy Scouts of America have worked together for many years to develop a great opportunity for Volunteers and story Tellers to come to our Society and Museum to learn, grow and share the experience of the Art of Historical Presentation.

As we continue to grow and develop opportunities for you to help, create and expand our reach to the local community and region, I hope you will find a place with us in your future aspirations.
A lot of individuals have asked us when will we finish with our project, my answer has always been and continues to be, “we’re just getting started.”
Best Wishes

Harbor View Historical Society Inc., was established to educate the communities in Northwestern Ohio on the native inhabitants and early settlers that eventually became the municipalities of Oregon and Harbor View, Ohio. The history of the Native Americans will be documented up and through the early settlement by the various ethnic groups that migrated into the region in the late 1700’s through the early 1800’s.

We have several events throughout the year to offer the community a chance to learn more about Northwest Ohio and how the areas of Harbor View and Oregon came into existence.
